When I look through my old blog posts of Happy New Year wishes… I just realised how time flies. I have posts that went way back more than 10 years ago… and some of the Nyonyalicious community have been with me since the GoKids / Goparents days. Thank you so much for taking this journey with me.
You see, this has evolved from GoKids, GoParents, then to My Long Table, Tok Panjang, and now to Nyonyalicious. What a journey it has been. I am so grateful for the journey and the opportunity to share that with you.
I started GoKids when my children were toddlers and preschoolers. The internet was just evolving, and I took the opportunity to dabble in the internet world. I was interested in young children’s development and how they learn and think… so GoKids started off as a fun and educational platform for parents and toddlers.
After that, as my children started their schooling journey, GoParents came along. During that time, we did not have many parenting books, nor were there any parenting classes. So, I learned as much as I could from the sources that I could get my hands on, and I shared the journey as a migrant parent and the challenges of bringing up our children in a different culture.
Once my children finished their schooling, Nyonyalicious, tok Panjang and My long Table came along to replace GoKids and GoParents as the next chapter of my blogging journey. This is something I would really like to explore more in the new year. It must be something fun and still honour the combined journey of GoKids and GoParents through the love of Food!
So, what’s in store for you in the new year for Nyonyalicious? I will be sharing the new part of the journey throughout 2025.
New year is a good opportunity to take some time to pause and re-evaluate our own journey, life, and what is install for the new year.
So, what about yourself? What’s your new year going to be like? How would you like to start the new year?
Will you be travelling more since the Covid pandemic is almost behind us? Will you be spending more time with your family, especially your family that live in our part of the world? Will you be implementing more health regimes in your daily activities? Eat healthier? More exercise? Spending more time with friends? Getting a new job?
Whatever you plan, here’s wishing you and your family a healthy, joyful and a very happy new year 2025!
