Happy New Year!!

It is the start of a new year and I would like to wish all of you good health and may the new year bring happiness, health and joy to your family. I hope you had / are having a wonderful break re-connecting with relatives, family and friends – both here and overseas.

I had a wonderful time spending quality time with my family and reconnecting with family friends all over the world. I have to say a HUGE thank you to social media; it has made connections much easier and brings people closer, wouldn’t you agree?

Let’s start the year with joy and abundance!

Why do I choose the word abundance?

I did a search of the meaning of abundance and here is a simple explanation by Dr. Wayne Dyer – it is a way of thinking and living. And when you live in abundance, it gives you constant source of joy, stability that is not influenced by external forces, i.e. stability in life, and a sense of contentment at best you can.

First, start the day with gratitude

Gratitude will turn everyday into more joy and happiness, and turn challenges in life into opportunities for growth and blessings. Gratitude grounds you in the present and provides an opportunity to be in touch with your core.

Second: 5 joyful daily habits that will bring joy and health to you …  make a conscious choice on how you WOULD like your day to look.

Third: You are important and self care is NEVER selfish

Know that you are important and self love is about hounouring yourself. When you are happy, only then you will be able to empathise with other people’s needs and love them for who they are. Remember, self love is not selfish!

Fourth – let’s live with purpose

Set your daily intention and mission in whatever you do. How would you like to see your live unfold? In other words, what would you like your life to be or to look like?

OK – My take for this year…

I want to venture into a year filled with laughter, joy, and health, and live with meaningful purposes.

My mission for Nyonyalicious?

I want to bring back the nonya cuisine to the Peranakan community; however, I want to do it in a way that is conducive to the Peranakan community of the 21st century, i.e. cook with joy, ease and food filled with love!

So what’s your mission?

What would you like your 2018 to look like?

Grab your pen and journal and start planning!

Would you like to join me for a joy-filled 2018? Let’s connect!!!!

Wishing you and family a healthy and abundant new year!
